RAK Petroleum Public Company Limited is an energy investment holding company which, in addition to its cash holdings, has as its major asset a block of 438,379,418 shares in DNO International ASA, part of which were acquired in open market purchases and others through a transaction completed in 2012 in which it merged its operating subsidiaries into DNO International in exchange for another 153,422,343 shares. RAK Petroleum today holds 42.8 percent of the DNO International shares outstanding.
